Do Tight Clothes Effect Acne?

There is no doubt that tight clothing can aggravate acne and help spread the infection.

Whether or not it can be the primary cause of acne is still under discussion.

The theory is that tight clothing promotes sweating and can stop the sweat, sebum, and dead skin cells from escaping.

This leads to the blocking of the pores and then infection in the form of a whitehead, blackhead, pimple or cyst.

One way to prevent the spread of infection caused by sweat is to stay clean.

Ayurveda, an ancient vedic form of Medicine that is now becoming very popular in the west, discusses angry skin disorders as being a Pitta Imbalance. Overheating and wearing synthetic fibers that don't breath, can cause your skin to overheat and aggravate Pitta Dosha. There are several ways to balance Pitta. We recommend you take the FREE Ayurveda Dosha Quiz to learn about your body type, where the imbalance might be hiding, and how to effectively address it.
